In addition to the significant contributions they make to the national economy through their commercial activities, the Sancak Family have also founded the Sancaklar Foundation for Education, Health, Culture and Social Aid in 2005 in order to serve the community in regard of education, health and culture, the most fundamental needs in life.

Adopting a vision to contribute to economic, cultural and social development of Turkey, to support the nation in the fields of education and health, to encourage people towards solidarity, and to increase well-being and happiness of people, the foundation has completed various projects to these ends.

Since its founding the Foundation has supported many people with insufficient means, had schools, student homes, health centres and places of worship built in areas that needed those, provided scholarship and educational aid for university students, and contributed to projects of other foundations and institutions.

Continuing its activities solely support by the contributions of its members and companies, Sancaklar Foundation will keep on working towards a stronger and ever growing Turkey, and serving the community with awareness of its social responsibility.

As a legal and independent body subject to oversight of the Auditing Authority specified under the Turkish Civil Code, the Sancaklar Foundation has obtained the title of "Public Service Institution" on 03 January 2011, thus gaining tax exempt status.
